Ana Seitz, R.N.

Ana joined us in 2008 as the first Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Nurse at UCSD.  Her background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Oberlin College and Master’s Degree in Music through the New England Conservatory in addition to proficiency in 4 foreign languages (Spanish, Japanese, German, and Portuguese).  In her nursing career to date, Ana has been recognized by San Diego Business Journal as a Healthcare Champions / Outstanding Nurse of San Diego County Finalist (2007) and Scripps Trauma Nurse of the Year (2004).  She holds certifications in Post Anesthesia Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing, and Medical-Surgical Nursing and volunteers her time for Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, an organization providing free surgical and nursing care for children afflicted with physical deformities.
