Edward R. Mariano, M.D.

Dr. Mariano completed his anesthesiology residency and pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center with emphases on clinical investigation and regional anesthesia for children.  Since joining the Department of Anesthesia at the University of California, San Diego, as Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology in 2004, Dr. Mariano started UCSD’s current training program in Regional Anesthesia and serves as Chief of the Regional Anesthesia Division.  The UCSD Regional Anesthesia Fellowship is the first and only fellowship in this subspecialty in California recognized by the American Society of Regional Anesthesia.  Dr. Mariano is currently enrolled in a Masters of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research program supported by a K30 award from the NIH.
